Senate = Corporate Whores

I couldn't stand the thought of actually watching C-SPAN and listening to our insubordinate Senators drone on and on and on about how we needed this legilsature to pass to help the economy (regardless of how obvious it is that it will help further destroy it). I did, however, try to have some hope that a simple majority of our Senators would be smart enough to send this legislature packing, the same way the House did on Monday. Apparently, this house of Congress didn't want to obey the people, as they stomped on the Constitution and the outcries of the American people in an overwhelming vote of 74-25 in favor of this economic measure.

House Votes Against Bailout

I assume that most people have heard by now that the bailout was sunk by the Republicans in the House of Representatives yesterday. It pretty much came down to the last few minutes of the votes that we got to see liberty actually getting a victory. I just find it funny that a majority of Democrats supported a dangerous plan that was supported by Bush and his cronies. Just more proof that Dems and Reps are no different.
